Top 5 Best Places to Live in North Wales

Abersoch Beach Huts

We love North Wales! We maybe a little biased as it is where we are based but no one can deny North Wales is one beautiful place. Even the Lonely Planet agrees, they named North Wales among the top places in the world to visit in 2017 in their annual Best in Travel List. We help many people move in and around North Wales every month through our North Wales Removals service and we thought we would put a little list together of the top best 5 place to live in North Wales, so here goes . . .

1. Abersoch

With its

beautiful beaches backed by the mountains of Snowdonia, Abersoch is beautiful village nestled in North Wales and its not hard to see why it was one of twelve locations in Wales to be listed in The Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide. It made the cut thanks to its local pubs, great transport links and attractive properties.

2. Conwy

This

medieval town boast its own castle, what more reasons do you need to live in Conwy? It does have more to offer than just it’s own castle, including a beautiful marina and lovely cobbled streets. We are not the only ones who love Conwy, it was named as the most beautiful place in the UK by the Japanese. A fun fact for you if you didn’t know is that Conwy is home to the smallest house in Britain.

3. Llandudno

A

survey once named Llandudno the happiest places to live in Wales and the sixth happiest in the UK, who wouldn’t want to live in such a happy place. Apart from it being such a happy place Llandudno also has a lovely open beach front which you can walk all the way down enjoying the sea breeze and if you still have energy you can take a walk around The Great Orme which has some amazing views! The town itself is elegant and has many nice little cafes and bars to get a quick bite to eat and a drink. Llandudno also still has its own pier!

4. Llangollen

Llangollen is a small picturesque town situated in North Wales, in 2016 it made it onto The Sunday Times’ list. Set on the River Dee, Llangollen has an amazing natural landscape which gives spectacular views. For a such small town you will find it holds plenty of events and festivals which brings the town to life!

5. Rhyl

OK so

we squeezed in our hometown of Rhyl into the Top 5 Best Places to Live in North Wales . . you should always have a love for where you live and although Rhyl has had its hard times the town is on the up. A lot of investment has been poured into Rhyl over the past few years and a number of big projects are currently under construction including a new retail park and a new water park has just had the go ahead to be built in Rhyl. Also lets not forget the great amenities,  a new high school with improving grades and Rhyl’s beach, which has fantastic view especially at sunset, we think it’s just done enough to squeeze in the top 5. Do you agree?
